Stefan Matthews, BCBA began his career in autism services in August 2019 as a registered line technician, working directly with adolescents on the spectrum. In January 2021, he joined GulfSouth Autism Center and shifted his professional focus from counseling to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), committed to becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Stefan earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University in 2021, followed by a Master’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in ABA from Capella University in December 2023. He became a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) in January 2024 and continued accruing supervised experience hours until achieving full BCBA certification in March 2025.

With a strong foundation in direct care and a passion for behavioral science, Stefan brings both practical insight and academic expertise to his work with individuals and families at GulfSouth.
