ABA BEHAVIOR TECHNICIANS (LINE TECH)
GulfSouth Autism Center provides individual treatment plans for children ranging in ages from toddler to preschool who are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Our on-site BCBAs provide individual and group ABA Therapy and our Allied Health team focuses on Speech Therapy as well as Occupational Therapy. GulfSouth therapy is primarily one-on-one, teaching children skills such as social interactions, language communication and social development.
ABA technicians are trained and closely supervised by our on-site licensed psychologists and behavior analysts. Excellent experience for those pursuing advanced education in psychology, behavior analysis, speech-language pathology, education and social work.

Requirments
- Highschool diploma or General Equivalent Diploma required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; preference is given to those with degrees in psychology, communication disorders, education, counseling, or a closely-related field
- Valid driver’s license or Louisiana-issued state ID
- Pass a background check
- Have reliable transportation
- Must be willing to commute between clinics
- Can lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Candidates
- 6 months of experience working with children with special needs
- Previous experience as an ABA therapist or technician
- Applicants seeking BCBA or BCaBA supervision hours will be prioritized
Position Details
- Full and part-time opportunities
- Communication with clinical staff, office staff, and a patient’s family is essential
- Duties will include assisting with daily living skills such as dressing, hygiene, and toileting
- Accurate implementation of the treatment protocol

Gulfsouth Autism Center’s ABA programs are structured to reinforce established skills, following instructions, and promote educational success.
Occupational Therapy
Gulfsouth Autism Center’s pediatric occupational therapy focuses on helping your child develop their visual, sensory and fine motor skills. This promotes independence in applying these skills to better function and socialize in their home, school, play, and community environments.
Speech Therapy
The one-on-one sessions between your child and the Gulfsouth Autism Center speech therapists are crucial in helping meet your child’s individual goals. We focus on receptive and expressive language, pragmatic language and social skills, as well as articulation, apraxia of speech, oral motor skills, and feeding.
