SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Gulfsouth Autism Center is seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist, to work with children and families we support through clinic-based therapy services. Our unique organization helps children on the Autism Spectrum advance their skills in communication, social and daily interactions, and more. You’ll work closely with our on-site licensed psychologists, behavior analysts, occupational therapists, and other speech language pathologists.

Requirments

  • Master’s degree in speech-language pathology.
  • Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • Valid Louisiana State Licensure.

Preferred Candidates

  • Prior experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders or developmental delays.
  • Experience with augmentative and alternative communication preferred but not required.

Position Details

  • Plan and provide treatment in both group and individual settings
  • Administer evaluations
  • Complete necessary documentation: evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans
  • Communicate regularly with parents/caregivers
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals
  • Conduct staff training as necessary
