    BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST

    GulfSouth Autism Center is currently hiring Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) for a range of clinical roles, including entry-level, intermediate, and Lead Clinical Supervisor positions. Opportunities are available for in-person, hybrid, and remote/telehealth work. We’re seeking passionate clinicians dedicated to delivering high-quality care and making a meaningful impact.     As a BCBA at GSAC, you’ll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes licensed psychologists, fellow BCBAs, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists.     Requirments

    • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field.
    • BCBA Certification - Must hold a current certification by Louisiana Board.
    • Minimum of 1 year experience providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
    • Introductory and intermediate level BCBAs are encouraged to apply.
    • Candidates with extensive experience may apply as Lead Clinical BCBA Supervisor.

    Position Details

    • Responsible for enforcing professional and ethical standards for ABA Therapy, and maintaining the highest quality of care for all GSAC clients.
    • Adherence to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
    • Work with Lead Clinical Director and other BCBAs to streamline/develop processes for clinical procedures to ensure continued improvement and advancement within the BCBA team.
    • Responsible for monitoring and ensuring Line Technicians are scheduled for their target hours prior to the team.
    • Monitor implementation of efficiency requirements set forth by the Operations and Financial teams, regarding production numbers and reporting.
    • Ensure the clinic census set forth by GSAC is achieved and maintained.
    • Support in the execution of monthly professional development sessions for all BCBAs, Speech Therapists, and Occupational therapists.
    • Assist with hiring decisions and develop training schedules for new Line Technicians and other supervised professional staff.
    • Assist Operations Team with research and outcome measures.
    • Conduct annual performance reviews for Line Technicians.
    • Work in conjunction with ABA Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist, and Occupational Therapist to ensure collaboration between disciplines.
    • Facilitate weekly meetings to review caseloads and progress of care.
    • Provide disciplinary action for staff and ensure continued professional development of all.
    • Attend department staff meetings, program staff meetings, and facility staff meetings
    • Actively participate in a multidisciplinary treatment team.
    • Maintain professional clinical competency by attending continuing education and workshops in the areas of ABA
    • Utilize safe and appropriate handling procedures when working with clients.
    • Adhere to agency safety policy and procedures
    • Support and supervise clients during leisure activities including lunch and play time.
    • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA laws.

      ABA BEHAVIOR TECHNICIANS (LINE TECH)

      GulfSouth Autism Center provides individual treatment plans for children ranging in ages from toddler to preschool who are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Our on-site BCBAs provide individual and group ABA Therapy and our Allied Health team focuses on Speech Therapy as well as Occupational Therapy. GulfSouth therapy is primarily one-on-one, teaching children skills such as social interactions, language communication and social development.

      ABA technicians are trained and closely supervised by our on-site licensed psychologists and behavior analysts. Excellent experience for those pursuing advanced education in psychology, behavior analysis, speech-language pathology, education and social work.

        OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

        We have opportunities for licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) team members within our regional practice.

        GulfSouth Autism Center provides individual treatment plans for children ranging in age from toddler to preschool, who are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.  Our staff is passionate about working with this population, and thrives in our collaborative environment.

        As an interdisciplinary practice, GSAC provides comprehensive treatment including speech, occupational, and ABA therapy under one roof and within each school day.  Our on-site BCBAs provide individual and group ABA Therapy, while our Allied Health team focuses on Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy.

            GulfSouth Autism Center (GSAC) applies an interdisciplinary approach to provide comprehensive treatment for children on the

            Position Details

            • Adheres to professional and legal requirements, the principles of behavior analysis and demonstrates sound professional judgment at all times.
            • Collaborates with families, caregivers and all service providers as necessary to ensure continuity of care.
            • Performs direct and indirect assessments to identify the function of client’s behaviors.
            • Develops a treatment plan (including behavior support plan) based on the functions of the behavior and treatment methodologies that are evidence-based.
            • Attends all relevant meetings for clients, including treatment team meetings, IEP/ISP (as allowed/needed) and staffing. Adequately demonstrates their abilities to work effectively as a part of a clinical team.
            • Attends any insurance authorization review calls for any individual on their caseload.
            • Collects data before and during the implementation of the plan so that the plan’s efficacy can be assessed and data-based decisions can be made.
            • Provides direct instruction/ongoing supervision, training and support to clients, staff members and family members during regularly scheduled visits. This includes visiting each client twice a month in all relevant environments.
            • Evaluates the effectiveness of the implemented treatment plan and modifies the plan as necessary.
            • Upon receiving information from the director, BCaBA will initiate services with new clients in a timely manner.
            • Manages caseload and prepares and submits all required documentation on time. This includes, but is not limited to: assessments, treatment plans/BSPs, insurance updates as required, session notes after every session, at least monthly analysis of the data, updating the treatment plans as needed.
            • Generates reports mandated by funders and BBH in a timely manner.
            • Maintains scheduled meetings with the BCBA to maintain supervision standards and exceptional service delivery.
            • Performs other duties as requested/assigned.

              GSAC Covington is tucked away in the green space behind the Gilsbar complex, and includes 7,000 square feet of educational space, private rooms for one-on-one work, group therapy areas, cafeteria and play area.
