Destiny is a Prairieville, LA native who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology from Louisiana State University in 2023. She then moved to Austin, TX to pursue her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, which she received in December 2025. During her clinical training, Destiny completed her first fieldwork in an outpatient pediatric setting, where she discovered her love for working with children through play-based interventions. She later returned home to Louisiana to complete her second fieldwork in an inpatient rehabilitation and skilled nursing setting. Following this experience, she chose to remain in Louisiana and begin her career in pediatric occupational therapy with Gulfsouth Autism Center.
Destiny has enjoyed working with children for many years through babysitting, camp counseling, and school and daycare settings. She has known since high school that occupational therapy was the career path she wanted to pursue, and her passion has continued to grow ever since. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and shopping.
